2nd Malatya International Film Festival

2nd Malatya International Film Festival ended with a spectacular award ceremony. At the festival hosted by Governorship of Malatya and Malatya Apricot Research, Development and Promotion Foundation under the auspices of Governor of Malatya and Festival Honorary President, Assoc. Prof. Ulvi Saran; 120 films including both feature and short films from 40 countries met the audience. Within the festival’s main theme “Immigration”, along with film screenings, symposiums and film workshops were also held. Cinema lovers of Malatya had the chance to meet the directors and actors of the films premiered at the festival. 16 awards were presented in the festival’s National Feature Film, National Short Film and International Film competitions. Governor of Malatya and Festival Honorary President, Assoc. Prof. Ulvi Saran; Mayor of Malatya, Ahmet Çakır; Head of Directorate General of Cinema, Sare Doğan; many artists and residents of Malatya attended the award ceremony at Kemal Sunal Hall of Malatya Congress and Cultural Center, which was broadcast live on A Haber TV. Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ertuğrul Günay, sent his best wishes and congratulated the award winners in his telegram.
